Aviation Quality Support, a company based in the Netherlands, is currently using TELS as tool in the Part-M -G and -I training for CAMO and Airworthiness Review. This training is delivered by JAA TO (Joint Aviation Authorities Training Organisation).

JAA TO is planning several more training courses in the coming year, also using TELS as a training tool and delivered by Bas van Wijk.
Asked to give a short description of the course Bas provides us with the following excerpt:
“TELS is being used in the Part-M -G and -I training for CAMO and Airworthiness Review, delivered by the JAA TO. In this training the responsibilities regarding Airworthiness for aircraft/helicopters are being discussed. Also the CAMO organisation and their role regarding the Airworthiness Review Certificate. At the end of the theoretical part of the training a “real” airworthiness review is done on C182 aircraft, for this part of the training we use TELS. In TELS we have access to 4 different C182, and in about 1 ½ hour the participants of the course do an airworthiness review. The goal of this task is: experiencing an review, discuss typical problems encountered during a review, see the importance that TC and EASA info is needed. And discover the value of a good tool. (IN this case TELS).”
For more information about the course please visit the JAA TO homepage at https://jaato.com/courses/233/.
We have made a web based online help system for use with TELS. This can both be used as a context help for individual pages in the TELS system or as a reference/user manual. We have currently implemented help information for the TELS Electronic Flight Bag, and users of this EFB can get online help now. We will implement more help pages as time goes by. A Users Guide is currently in the works and its content will in time be put in to this web based tool.
For everybody working with Logistics and Parts in your organization the Parts Planning Window is a great feature of TELS. This is currently a working beta available to all our customers. The main purpose of this window is to list all parts installed on your aircrafts whith defined SLL/OVH on requirements and on Manual Due Items or requirements or defined use of Remaining Calculations. This helps you check that your logistics stock qty on each part in use is in storage or notify you of parts in need of ordering.
A much used functionality in TELS is the DUE SOON window. This analyzes your whole organization as it is known to TELS and then presents a sorted list over things due for action in the next 30 days. The default value of 30 days can be modified by the user. The list contains the following information:
This list is dynamic and changes as time goes by and as aircrafts logs DFR data through the day. Why waste hours tabulating this information manually? TELS can do this in seconds.
Every user that logs in to TELS is greeted with this popup called TELS Early Warning System. This information window analyzes your system for things that is due for action in the near future.
This includes S/N Parts and Batch parts with shelf life soon to be due or already overdue and what PO they were bought on, Tools due for service, Personnel certificates due to expire soon and aircrafts in storage with special tasks to be done periodically.
This information is available to all users and everybody can therefore help in maintaining an up-to-date organization.
Last year has been busy for us here at TELS headquarter and update of our webpage has been somewhat lacking. We hope to be able to update more often in the future. We have been busy implementing several new customers in TELS and adding and improving on TELS functionality. In addition TELS has branched out into a new market for maintenance logging of none aircraft maintenance. In TELS we have added functionality for AMP Sub Requirements, Logging of measurements, Parts planning and several new and improved reports just to mention a few things. Last but not least TELS is now also used in JAA TO training courses which I hope to write a little more about soon.
Looking into the crystal ball I can see more new customers and added functionality coming in the autumn. Among the things we are working on currently is the ability to plan more than one step ahead in AutoOrder, more new reports and added support for post- and pre mod.
In TELS you can use Flightradar24 to know where the aircrafts you are waiting to service is located in real-time. In addition you can have a information screen on the wall in the hangar that in real-time tracks the time to next service for given aircrafts. The information screen gets information from the Electronic Flight Bag in TELS and updates every 2 minutes with real-time status of remaining time to service. This gives you freedom to manage your fleet with optimal time-to-service and minimal planning overhead.
Nord-Norsk Teknologi AS and Sundt Air AS has been working together on the TELS project since day one. Sundt Air was one of three companies supporting the development of TELS through a Innovasjon Norge project. Their input has been of great value for us throughout the development process. Sundt Air has been using TELS since it was finished as a product. Now we are working together on improving the invoicing capabilities of TELS. The goal is to have a "one click one invoice" solution that enables the MRO organization to simply click once at the end of each month to invoice a customer. The work/invoice output from TELS is very detailed and clear and the final invoice can be modified before it is sent.
We have integrated TELS with Fligtradar24. This is a free web tool that shows live positioning of aircrafts in Europe and North America. This means that a maintenance crew waiting on ground can monitor in real time when the aircraft they are scheduled to service will arrive. You can visit Flightradar24 here if you want to have a look at air traffic status just now.
In March 2012 the first customer of the TELS MRO System took the bold step of signing on as a TELS user and supporter. The company was Patria Helicopters AS at Bardufoss Airport. Since that time many more has followed, but being the first is always special. We, the people behind Nord-Norsk Teknologi AS and TELS, give our thanks for the support. At the one year anniversary we therefore bought cake and flowers and visited Patria to celebrate.
TELS is a Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul (MRO) System for the aviation industry. The system is entirely web based, easy to use and cost saving.
In October 2012 we had the pleasure of hosting the very first TELS training course at our main office if the city of Finnsnes. This was another milestone for our company and the attendees were a team from SAM AERO AS. They had just chosen TELS as their MRO System of choice and wanted to learn all about what it could do. So here it is, the very first official TELS Certificate of Training.
The TELS MRO System and its creator Nord-Norsk Teknologi AS was featured in an article on www.vri-troms.no about North-Norwegian success stories. You can download the article as a PDF in our download archive or just click on this direct link Suksesshistorier to open it at VRI-Troms.
